Gay Pride Month
Raising the Rainbow in Sodom-Francisco
On June 21, 1999 the proud-to-the-core leaders of the fair city named after St. Francis of Assisi, gathered together at City Hall to celebrate what would have given "Frank," were he alive, full cardiac arrest.
It was with great enthusiasm that the City's Mayor Willie L. Brown, Jr., along with a gaggle of San Francisco elite and effete, announced their delight at being part of what was the very first time in the annals of American history that "the flag symbolizing gay pride" was flown in a major city. It was flown for the balance of June, as part of the City's celebration of Gay Pride Month.

Here and There of Multiculturalism
Multicultural mania has been around for a while now. And for just about as long, authors and essayists have been denigrating it. They've expended much time, logic and ink providing the intellectual whys and wherefores for its beginnings, intentions and direction. Yet, by-and-large, citizens of the United States remain ignorant about its roots and ramifications. The Waking Bear© has no intention of reinventing the "wheels" of the many authors that have covered the subject in great detail. For anyone interested in getting an in depth look at the subject, we direct your attention to: Migrations & Cultures - A World View; written by Thomas Sowell and published in 1996 by Basic Books, a Division of Harper Collins Publishers, Inc.
The professed interest of multi-culturalists is the recognition of cultural diversity surrounding us all. |

Scores of studies by the federal government's own investigators indicate that much of the grant money going to [thousands of nonprofit organizations, educational bodies, and other federal grantees] is being used not for nonpartisan, philanthropic or educational purposes as required by law, but for blatantly political causes. |

Much is made of the need for Americans to grasp the significance of cultural diversity and its impact on bettering the interaction between peoples of differing origins. Indeed, we are asked to more than merely tolerate but to accept, perhaps even assimilate, these various differences into our own culture. |

Kids Get Graphic Instruction In Homosexual Sex. Now in Massachusetts, Coming to a School Near You
Massachusetts State sponsored conference featured detailed sexual material.
[ April 26, 2000 ] Last year, a mother from the western suburbs joined some other parents and went to the State House to appeal to the Governor’s office. She was becoming frantic. Her son at the local high school had been told by his musician friends how "cool" it was at the school’s Gay/Straight Alliance club meetings. She soon found out that the club had watched at least one R-rated video of two boys having a love affair. She discovered some provocative handouts in his room. He became detached, and she suspected that he was experimenting with homosexual relationships. |

Congshan, China - When the history of the 20th century is written and the great terrors, exterminations and genocides are fully documented, a grisly footnote will have to be appended from this tiny hamlet in southeastern China. Along with a handful of other remote villages in China, it was the site of the only confirmed biological warfare attacks in modern history, committed by secret units of the Japanese invasion force that occupied much of China from 1931 to 1945. |
